Repainting a veneered wall unit in light olive
A floor-to-ceiling built-in wall unit at the Ciskari public space, with dark wood-coloured veneered fronts. We took off all doors and panels and removed the hinges, handles and locks. The old finish was sanded off, the fronts were painted light olive with two coats of acrylic paint and sealed with acrylic lacquer. Then we refitted the fronts and hardware and checked how the doors close. The open shelves were left in the wood tone. The furniture stayed the same, and the room became noticeably brighter.
